Bee Hive…not just for kids

On Wednesday May 30 at 7:30, Bee Hive hosted its first Book Club for Grown-Ups. 15 of us gathered to hash out The Hunger Games over wine and treats. Our discussion was smart, fun, and thought-provoking. And it was our first evening event at the store. After about an hour and a half, there was a consensus that we meet again in June to discuss Catching Fire – book two of the trilogy. I rediscovered what I’ve always known, which is a gathering place for intelligent conversation about books, art, music, etc is hugely important for a community. If there was interest I’d have a Salon Evening every week at Bee Hive. Perhaps some day, there will be. In the mean time if there is a book you’d like to discuss at a Bee Hive Book Club for Grown-Ups, please let us know. And if you’d like to join in on a very cool conversation about Catching Fire, we’re meeting Wednesday, June 27 at 7:30.
