There’s something wrong with twelve-year old Kester Jaynes. Or at least that’s what the adults seem to believe when they lock him away in a school for troubled children. And when he meets a flock of talking pigeons and a haughty cockroach, Kester, too, believes he’s really lost his marbles. But, in this world nearly extinct of animals, perhaps Kester’s ‘trouble’ is really his blessing. The animals have something to say, and they need Kester to speak their truth.
